ATP Content Imaging Services
ATP is a universal mediator of metabolism and signal transduction across single cell and multicellular species. It is the energy source of all living cells and participates in many important biochemical reactions. Therefore, the determination of ATP content is very important for studying the normal physiological and pathological state of cells. When cells die, they stop synthesizing ATP, and the existing ATP pool is rapidly degraded. So a higher ATP content indicates a higher number of living cells, which can be used as a marker of living cells.

ATP Content Imaging Analysis
ATP content determination can use a variety of detection methods, such as colorimetry, fluorescence and bioluminescence. Most traditional methods are generally destructive when measuring changes in ATP and other metabolites of interest. Live cell imaging analysis is a promising method that uses suitable imaging instruments and image analysis software to check the ATP content in single or co-cultured cells over time without repeating end-point measurements.
CD BioSciences uses live cell imaging and analysis technology to detect ATP content for you, which combines monitoring cell growth and morphological changes with ATP content measurement. Our imaging system will collect images every half an hour or an hour according to the detection needs, and then quantify and qualitatively evaluate the images to reveal the morphological changes that accompany the changes in ATP.
ATP Content Imaging Analysis Workflow
The following is the workflow of ATP content imaging analysis.
Prepare assay plate
Infect cells with ATP detection reagent.
Acquire images
Capture images over time in a physiologically relevant environment.
Analyze metabolic changes
Quantify metabolic changes in the same population of cells with fully integrated kinetic analysis.
Confirm cell morphology & ATP content
Associate changes in cell morphology with ATP content.
