Tissue Section Imaging Services
Tissue section imaging plays a key role in pathology and disease research. By slicing tissue samples into thin sections and applying specific staining or labeling methods, researchers are able to observe and analyze cellular and molecular structures in tissues. In addition, tissue section imaging can be used to study the expression of specific biological targets and to determine the expression levels and spatial distribution of these biological targets in different tissue types and pathological states. Tissue section imaging services can help researchers gain insights into the pathological changes of diseases, evaluate therapeutic drug co-localization and develop new therapeutic approaches.
Tissue Section Imaging Services
CD BioSciences provides clients with high quality tissue section imaging services for studying diseased tissues and determining the location and expression of ex vivo biological targets (e.g., proteins, DNA/RNA, or labeled small molecules). In our services, researchers can analyze variations in different tissue depths and image multiple tissue sections in order to classify slides to support downstream microscopic analysis. In addition, we will select the appropriate tissue section imaging equipment according to the client's research project to help researchers assess the location of targets at the macro- and micro-levels and gain insight into the spatial distribution of tissue structures and biomolecules. Our services mainly include but are not limited to:
Tissue Immunolabeling and Imaging Services
CD BioSciences provides tissue immunolabeling and imaging services that utilize antibodies to localize proteins and other antigens in tissue sections, which offer clients valuable information about protein expression patterns in intact tissues. Our services include single and multiple immunolabeling for all types of tissues, including whole tissues, biopsy samples, and thick tissue sections. For thin tissue sections, we use confocal microscopy to obtain high-quality images. And for thicker tissue sections and intact tissues, we perform imaging and analysis after tissue clearing to ensure tissue integrity.
Whole slide imaging, also known as virtual microscopy, scans an entire microscope slide to generate digital images. At CD BioSciences, we offer comprehensive whole slide imaging services to help our clients scan and acquire high-resolution images of whole pathology sections. We can use digital scanners to convert sections on whole slides into digital images and incorporate computer-aided analysis and machine learning algorithms for computational analysis, such as automated labeling and counting of cells, which assist pathologists in their research work.
Tissue Microarray Imaging Services
CD BioSciences offers comprehensive tissue microarray imaging analysis services for clients working with large numbers of tissue samples collected and archived in paraffin blocks or formalin. We help researchers study tissue samples with cancer, tumors, or similar diseases by punching and repositioning different tissue samples onto new paraffin blocks. In addition, our team will scan tissue microarrays using a digital imaging system to generate numerous high-resolution images and help researchers extract valuable information such as biomarker expression and cell viability.
